Attendance and Participation
Attendance and Participation are Important. Maintaining attendance and participation in at least 12 units is required for your visa status. Failure to attend and participate in at least 12.0 units of classes may result in a violation of your F-1 status.
International Students Must Maintain 12.0 Credits
The regulations of the F-1 visa require all international students to maintain a full-time course load each semester; at SBCC this means that students must be enrolled in at least 12.0 credits. Now is the time to meet with an Academic Counselor to update your SEP and get help with choosing classes. Remember that no more than 3.0 units of your 12.0 unit load can be taken online.
Are you on Academic Probation
All students who have been placed on Academic Probation MUST meet with their Advisor/D.S.O. before you can register for next semester. Avoid the rush. Make your appointment now. All appointments will be made on the first-come, first-serve basis. See the Advisor/D.S.O. before the assigned priority registration date and time!!!
