The following are required for admission into SBCC. Make sure you keep copies of everything you turn in. All application documents should be sent via mail or delivered in person. Students must be 18 years or older at the time of arrival at SBCC.

Application Deadlines:
Fall Semester: July 1 for applicants from outside the USA or, respectively, July 15 for current F-1 students in the USA
Spring Semester: November 1 for applicants from outside the USA or, respectively, November 15 for current F-1 students in the USA
Summer Session: May 1 for all applicants

1. Completed SBCC International Student Admission Application

The SBCC International Student Admission Application is a PDF file, which allows you to type into the text fields. Make sure to enter the correct format for date of birth (month/date/year) and to sign the back of the application. The application asks for you to indicate the Program of Study ("major") that you wish to pursue as well as the code that refers to that Program of Study. Please view the Programs of Study as a reference for possible majors.



2. $50 Application Fee

The non-refundable, application fee can be paid via money order, cashier's check, traveler's check, personal check, American dollars, or credit card. Payments should be made out to SBCC International Student Office. To pay via credit card, please download, complete and print the credit card payment form.



3. Confidential Financial Statement Form

Please complete the Financial Statement form and obtain all necessary signatures. Without signatures from you and your sponsors, your application cannot be processed.



4. Original Bank Certification Letter

In addition to the Financial Statement form, an official letter from your bank or other financial institution must be submitted. The Bank Certification Letter must be an original document, in English, issued by your financial institution. It must be printed on company letterhead, contain the date (no older than 6 months), name of the account holder, and state that there is funding in the amount of at least $17, 236 for fall/spring or at least $19,690 for the summer available. If you have funding from multiple sources, you will need a bank letter from each source. The letter must also be signed and/or stamped by an official at the financial institution.
Please refer to the current Estimated Budget sheet to determine the minimum amount, which must be shown on your Confidential Financial Statement and bank certification letter.



5. Two Passport-Size Photographs

Please submit two recent passport-sized photos.



6. Copy of Your Passport

Please submit a copy of the picture page of your passport.



7. Official Transcripts

Official high school and most recent English language program transcripts, as well as most recent college or university transcripts, each translated into English by an official translator, are required. Please note that you must report all collegiate course work previously taken.



If you are applying as a college or English-language student from within the United States, submit:

Copies of your visa, the front and back of your I-94 Arrival/Departure Form (white card), a copy of your current I-20 A-B form, and the Intent to Transfer Form completed by an international student advisor at your current institution.



Choose a major from the list of "Programs of Study."
