Academic Counseling is still providing services remotely.
You can still schedule your appointment using Starfish. When booking your appointment, please provide the best phone number for the counselor to reach you. Please be sure that you are logged into your Pipeline email account at the start of your appointment.
Front Desk Services
During regular business hours, counseling assistants will be available to answer urgent questions via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. They will respond to you in the order received. If you call our office at 805-730-4085 during business hours, you will be able to leave a voicemail and we will respond as soon as possible.
If you don’t yet have a primary academic counselor, you can ask a quick academic counseling question through our online form, Ask Me.
If you don't have a computer at home, the Luria Library will have additional Chromebooks available for long term check out.

The Cashiers Office will continue to provide virtual and remote services to our students while the campus is physically closed. Our hours of operation remain the same:
Monday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tuesday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Fridays 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Student Program Advisors (SPA's)
SPA’s will also be available to answer urgent questions using Google chat. During regular business hours, students can log into their Pipeline email account and send their advisor a chat request. Staff will respond to you as soon as possible.
EOPS tutors will be available remotely using different formats. Please check the Tutor schedule for the latest information.
The Financial Aid Office is working to make services available remotely. We know this will cause inconveniences for many students and we appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult time.
Financial aid staff will be working remotely and answering your financial aid questions (Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm) via email. If you have questions regarding your 2019-2020 Academic Year Financial Aid, please send an email inquiry from your SBCC Pipeline email address to your financial aid advisor. You can find your advisor's contact by visiting our Contacts webpage.
All responses will be sent to your SBCC Pipeline email address. Please include your SBCC K#, your full name, and detail of your inquiry. This allows us to verify, research your question(s) and promptly respond to your email.
Financial Aid checks are still being processed and sent to students via direct deposit (if you have selected this option) or by the U.S. Postal Service.

The SBCC Food Pantry is currently closed, but please click here for the most current list of emergency Food Distribution Sites available to all Santa Barbara County residents.
The CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is another helpful food resource that the Food Pantry staff can help you with. CalFresh can increase students’ food budgets and help put healthy and nutritious food on their table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits on a debit style card, called the Golden State Advantage Card. Benefits allow students to purchase food items at most grocery stores, markets, and farmers markets. The amount of benefits received is based on household size, income, and bills and since this is a federally funded program, only permanent residents or citizens of the U.S. can qualify.

IT is still helping staff, students, and faculty via helpdesk.
Additionally, The IT department is hosting a Zoom session running from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm every weekday to provide remote assistance. Staff and faculty can drop by any time during those hours to ask questions or request assistance with Zoom basics, VDI access, or any other issues with work-from-home technology.Zoom info:

For the safety and well-being of our community, La Playa Stadium will be closed until campus reopens.
The Cartwright Learning Resource Center is happy to announce that we will have our Online Virtual Computer Lab and Computer Tutors available beginning Thursday, April 16th.
To accommodate diverse needs we will offer the following ways you can connect with LRC Computer Tutors and Computer Lab Staff:

- Online Appointments to chat and/or video conference
- Drop-in hours via Chat/Zoom (coming next week)
Computer Tutors can assist all currently enrolled SBCC students with computer questions while they are completing their assignments! This includes questions about Canvas, Zoom, Google Docs, Pipeline, Proctorio, and other learning support applications.
Virtual Lab Hours (Summer)

- Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The deadline to drop classes with a refund was January 25. At this time, Campus Security will not be issuing refunds for Spring semester parking on Main Campus. Additionally, no partial refunds will be issued.
Staff and students can call security at 805-730-4200 to be let in. The area is locked since there are no staff to monitor the area.
Student Health and Wellness Services is closed for in-person counseling and medical appointments due to the elevated threat of COVID-19 in the Santa Barbara area.
In order to meet the needs of our students during this difficult time, we will be offering telehealth support to students. If you are having an emergency, please dial 911.
